Town of Beaufort

Beaufort's Town Hall is located at 701 Front Street, on the corner of Pollock and Front Streets, in the historic 1937 Post Office building. The Fire, Police, Public Utilities, Public Works, and Planning Departments as well as elected officials and citizen boards are administered through Town Hall.

Carteret County

Beaufort serves as the county seat of Carteret County, North Carolina. The County departments such as Sheriff, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Social Services and Health Departments, as well as the Clerk of Court and boards and commissions are administered by the county.

Carteret County Schools

The Carteret County Public School System serves the students of Carteret County from Cedar Point to Cedar Island. There are 85 miles of coastal scenery, friendly towns, and 17 public schools that are committed to creating opportunities for all students to do their best and to succeed.
